報告摘要：In recent years, various sensing technologies such as mobile phones, street scanning, stationary/portable sensors, and remote sensing have been used to understand our cities in an extreme high spatio-temporal resolution. The urban sensing technologies not only provide the new forms of data/smart data in our cities, but present challenges such as effectively analyzing underlying patterns and preventing the privacy disclosure. In this talk, I will introduce some of the recent research development in the UBDC Urban Sensing and Analytics research theme. It will include our recent work in Space EPC project to estimate building heat loss index, using mobile phone app data to explore travel patterns, traffic flow analysis in Glasgow, and electric vehicle behaviour and infrastructure analysis in the UK.

報告人簡介：趙群山(Qunshan ZHAO)，英國格拉斯哥大學城市分析教授，城市大數據中心副主任，博士生導師。美國亞利桑那州立大學地理信息科學博士。主要研究領域為運用地理信息科學，遙感技術，空間分析與建模，城市氣象學，傳感器/傳感網，數據科學，人工智能以及運籌學來理解和分析城市問題。主持和參與的研究項目來自于英國經濟與社會理事會基金，比爾梅琳達蓋茨基金會，歐空局，英國皇家學會，英國新聞調查局，以及蘇格蘭研究基金會和格拉斯哥市政府等。目前擔任英國經濟與社會理事會常聘基金項目和英國航天局評審專家和英國皇家地理學會定量方法研究組的常務理事。長期擔任英國，美國，法國基金項目的評審專家和多家國際著名期刊審稿人和客座編輯。在高質量國際學術期刊上發表SCI/SSCI學術論文四十余篇。近期多篇學術論文被國際知名媒體雜志(BBC, The Mirror, New Scientists)轉發并報道。
