報告摘要:Is subsea engineering and technology existing enough to deal with the recuperation for the most important treasure dicovered under the surface of the ocean in the world? It took about 300 years to locate the Galeon San José, which was sunken close to the coast of Cartagena, in Colombia, during an attack made by English ships during XVll Century, to take under their property the most important cargo of precious metals and stones from America, destined to the Spaniard Crown. During this lecture you’ll have the opportunity to know the history of this incredible adventure, but most important, we will review together the most important technology known to envelop this historic capsule of time, and we will have the opportunity to discuss the possibilities to recover what was found, or probable the expenses to recover the treasure could be higher than same treasure and it would be better to allow it there, but if the technology that we posses at this moment is enough and it's no as expensive, could DMU offer to the Government of Colombia a trade for the recuperation for the treasure? You have the opportunity to share your ideas within the discussion for this interesting but complex case by participating in this lecture.
